Competition Terms and Conditions

This competition is part of the Perkie member programme. In addition to these terms, the Find Perkie™ Promotion Terms and Conditions apply to membership, points, fair play, privacy, liability, and related matters where they do not conflict with these Mate Race terms.

1. Promoter
The Great Perkie's Mate Race ("Competition") is operated by Sell2Cell Limited trading as Perkie ("Perkie", "we", "us", "our"), New Zealand.
2. Competition period
The Competition opens at 12:01 a.m. on 21 April 2026 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on 31 May 2026, New Zealand time (Pacific/Auckland), unless extended or ended earlier by Perkie in accordance with these terms.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Entry is open to individuals who are residents of New Zealand, aged 16 years or over at the time of participation, and who hold a registered Perkie member account in good standing.
3.2 Entrants under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
3.3 Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of Perkie may be ineligible at Perkie's discretion.
4. How referrals count
4.1 Only valid new user sign-ups referred through your unique Perkie referral link during the Competition period may count toward your leaderboard total, subject to verification.
4.2 A "valid mate" means a natural person who creates a new Perkie account for the first time using your referral link, completes the sign-up steps Perkie requires at the time (which may include email and mobile verification), and is not a duplicate, fake, self-referral, or other abusive pattern as reasonably determined by Perkie.
4.3 Perkie may require evidence of genuine sign-ups and may exclude referrals that appear automated, bulk-created, circular, or otherwise outside the spirit of the Competition.
5. Leaderboard and winners
5.1 Rankings are determined by the highest number of valid referred new users credited to each entrant during the Competition period.
5.2 In the event of a tie on valid mate count, the entrant who reached that count first (based on the timestamp of the referral that completed the tie, as recorded on Perkie) ranks higher. If a tie remains, Perkie may apply a random draw among the tied entrants or another fair criterion we record at the time.
5.3 Prize positions: first place NZD $300, second place NZD $200, third place NZD $100, for a total of NZD $600 in those three places, with more prizes to be announced, unless otherwise stated on the Competition page.
6. Spot prizes
6.1 Additional spot prizes or bonuses may be awarded at Perkie's discretion. Any such prizes will be described on the Competition page or by email where appropriate.
7. Prizes
7.1 Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash or other value unless Perkie agrees in writing.
7.2 Perkie may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize is unavailable.
8. Changes, suspension, and exclusion
8.1 Perkie may amend, suspend, or cancel the Competition where reasonably required (including for technical, legal, or fairness reasons). Material changes will be communicated on the Competition page where practicable.
8.2 Perkie's decisions on eligibility, referral validity, leaderboard results, and prize awards are final, subject to any rights you have under New Zealand law.
9. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with the Competition is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and the Find Perkie Promotion terms.
