What is Perkie?
Perkie is a New Zealand platform that helps people discover local businesses and get something back when they visit. For businesses it is a practical way to get found, run a perk, reward regulars, and fill quieter times when that is useful.
Who owns Perkie?
Perkie is 100% New Zealand owned and operated. It is operated by Sell2Cell Limited. Perkie was founded by Brendan Brink, who owns Sell2Cell Limited / Perkie.
Is it really free?
Yes. Perkie's core business listing is genuinely free. We want small Kiwi businesses to be able to participate without cost being the thing that keeps them out.
You get a listing, tools to run a member offer, Perkie Tracks, and scanning from a browser or the Perkie Business app. Perkie Spend and Perkie Moments are available where they apply to your listing. Perkie Premium is a planned extra around that free core. It is not required.
What do I get with a free listing?
A public listing you can update, a member offer you create and control, Perkie Tracks, business scanning tools, and the standard insights in those tools. Eligible businesses can set up Perkie Moments. Members may earn Perkie Spend points from eligible receipts, including at your business when Spend is enabled for your listing.
Do I need special hardware?
No. Staff can use a browser or the Perkie Business app. Perkie does not require a special scanner or a till / POS integration.
Can I create an offer?
Yes. You create and control your offer, subject to Perkie's usual moderation and New Zealand rules, including alcohol promotion rules. Examples include a free item with purchase, a percentage discount, or another member perk. Free listings are set up around a single live offer. More than one live offer is planned for Perkie Premium.
What are Perkie Tracks?
A digital loyalty stamp programme. You set the hops and the reward. Members collect progress when they visit, which gives them a reason to come back.
What is Perkie Spend?
Members can earn Perkie Points by uploading an eligible New Zealand receipt, which Perkie reviews. It is not a till scan. Some listings have a Spend code or a higher point rate when Spend is enabled. Spend is not switched on by default for every new listing.
What are Perkie Moments?
An optional tool for eligible businesses that want to fill quieter capacity. You open selected quieter times as bookable slots with a member deal. Moments already exists. It is not coming soon, and it is not restaurant-only. Not every listing is set up for it.
How do I list my business?
Use List my business for free. That opens the existing signup. No credit card is required.
Can Perkie help set my listing up?
Yes. If you get stuck, contact us. Signup also has PerkieAI help for listing copy if you want it.
How do I contact Perkie?
Use the contact form. For Premium interest, use the waitlist on the plans page. That is interest only, with no payment.

Perkie for Businesses
What is Perkie for Businesses?
Perkie helps local businesses connect with members through Perkie Offers, Perkie Tracks, and loyalty built on Perkie Status Points. Members discover your business, redeem your offers, collect stamps on tracks, and progress through tiers you configure. You earn Perkie Boosts (Perkie Boost Points) from activity and engagement on the platform. Listing Plus (when available) doubles Perkie Boost Points from qualifying activity compared to the free listing, and doubles the rate of Perkie Points members earn from spend with you — Perkie Status Points rules stay the same on both listing types.
Perkie Boosts
What are Perkie Boosts and how do I earn Perkie Boost Points?
Perkie Boosts are your business’s growth currency on Perkie — shown in the dashboard as Perkie Boost Points (formerly “Business Points”). They are separate from member currencies. You earn them from your activity and results on Perkie — for example: being live on the platform each month, Perkie Offer redemptions, customer signups via your link or QR, member spend recorded at checkout, and referrals — according to the current rules in your dashboard. On Perkie Listing Plus (when available), Perkie Boost Points from qualifying activity are doubled compared to the free listing.
How can I use my Perkie Boosts (Boost Points)?
You can use Perkie Boost Points to enter business competitions and, in future, apply them as credit when purchasing paid plans or other Perkie services.
Perkie Status Points (members at your business)
What are Perkie Status Points (points at my business)?
Perkie Status Points are what members earn only at your business — from visits, redemptions, and spend you record. You configure earn rules (e.g. points per dollar and/or per redemption). Members use them for your loyalty tiers and rewards. They are not the same as Perkie Points (platform-wide). Free and paid listings use the same Perkie Status Points mechanics; advanced tier setups may depend on your plan.

What are Loyalty Tiers and Tier Rewards?
Loyalty Tiers are levels members unlock as they earn Perkie Status Points at your business (e.g. Bronze, Silver, Gold). You set the minimum points for each tier. Tier Rewards are benefits you attach to tiers — for example, Gold members might get a free coffee. You configure tiers and rewards in the Loyalty Program section (tier depth may vary by listing plan).
Perkie Tracks
What are Perkie Tracks and how do they work?
Perkie Tracks are digital stamp cards you configure for your business. You set the track name, how many stamps are required (e.g. 10), optional default “qualifying purchase” value per stamp (for reporting and when staff don’t enter an amount), and the reward (free item, discount, etc.). When a member visits, you open their profile and add a stamp after a qualifying purchase — enter the purchase amount or rely on your track default where allowed. Each stamp can drive Perkie Points and Perkie Status Points using the purchase value you record.
What happens when a member completes a Perkie Track (the end reward)?
When their stamp count reaches the number you set, the track completes automatically. Perkie creates a member reward from your configured reward (description, type, value, expiry). It appears in their account for a later visit — it is not the same as their next stamp. When they return to claim it, redeem that track reward from their profile so Perkie records it correctly. The completion reward is separate from Perkie Offer redemptions and from tier rewards, even if the perk feels similar (e.g. a free coffee).
Scan & Redeem
How does scanning and redemption work?
When a member visits, they show their Perkie member QR code (or you search for their account). In your business Redemptions area, open their profile to see Perkie Offers they can use, Perkie Tracks in progress, earned track rewards ready to redeem, and loyalty tier context. Choose the action: redeem an offer, add a track stamp (with purchase details), or redeem a completed track reward, then confirm. The member may earn Perkie Points and Perkie Status Points from those actions based on your settings; you earn Perkie Boost Points for qualifying activity, with Plus listings doubling Boost from eligible actions where applicable.
How should staff use a member's QR code?
Ask the member to open Perkie and display “My QR Code” (or their member page QR). Scan it with a device camera if your workflow supports it, or enter their details from a lookup if you use search instead — both should open the same redemption profile. Always verify you are on the correct member before recording spend, stamps, or offer redemptions. The QR stays the same over time; it is tied to their Perkie account, not to a single offer.
What is my referral link and QR code?
Each business has a unique referral URL and QR code. When a customer visits your link (e.g. from a poster or sign in your store) and signs up as a Perkie member, you earn Perkie Boost Points (amount per rules in your dashboard). Display this link or its QR code in your business to encourage new members to join Perkie through you. Find it in your business settings or onboarding.
Perkie Points (your customers)
What are Perkie Points for my customers?
Perkie Points are the platform-wide rewards currency your customers earn across Perkie — not the same as Perkie Status Points (loyalty only at your business). Members can earn Perkie Points when they are active on Perkie and when they spend or redeem with you, according to the earn rules Perkie applies and any caps shown in the app. On Listing Plus (when available), members earn Perkie Points from spend with you at double the free-listing rate (within the same rules). You do not manually “give” Perkie Points; they are calculated when staff complete a qualifying redemption or checkout in Perkie.
Why do Perkie Points matter to my business?
Perkie Points keep members engaged across the whole platform, so rewarding visits through Perkie helps you stay part of their everyday habits. They use those points for competitions and platform-wide perks, which complements the loyalty you build with Perkie Status Points, Perkie Offers, and Perkie Tracks at your venue.
Perkie Offers
What is a Perkie Offer (from my business's point of view)?
A Perkie Offer is a free reward you publish for Perkie members — for example a discount, BOGO, or welcome perk. You create and manage offers in business mode; members see them on your listing and redeem them in store. When staff complete a redemption in Perkie, the member may earn Perkie Points and Perkie Status Points according to your settings and Perkie’s rules, and you can earn Perkie Boost Points for qualifying activity.
How do members redeem my Perkie Offers in store?
The member opens their Perkie profile and shows their personal QR code (or you look them up). In Redemptions, select the offer they are using and complete the flow — including any spend or value fields Perkie asks for so points and reporting stay accurate. One redemption uses one offer instance; if the offer allows repeat use, they can redeem again on a future visit.
Perkie Moments
What is Perkie Moments for businesses?
Perkie Moments lets you offer discounted time-slot bookings to Perkie members — turning quiet periods into paid visits. Members browse, book, and pay a small fee. You set the discount, the slot times, party sizes, and how many bookings you want per slot. It's a way to fill capacity you'd otherwise lose, while building genuine repeat customers.
How do I create a Moment?
Go to Perkie Moments in your business menu and create a Moment template. You set the name, discount percentage, party size range, default time, maximum bookings per slot, and any conditions members should know about. From there you can generate individual slots or recurring slots across a date range, picking which days of the week to include.
Can I edit or cancel individual slots?
Yes. The calendar view lets you edit individual slots — adjust availability, time, party sizes, or remove unbooked slots entirely. You can also pause or cancel a slot without losing the template. Slots with existing bookings can be cancelled too; members get notified and receive Moment Credit.
How does member check-in work?
When a member arrives for their Moment, they show the QR code from their booking. Scan it (or look them up) through the Perkie redemption flow. Confirming the check-in marks the booking as active. Once the experience is done, mark it complete and any Perkie Points for their visit are added automatically.
What is the spin wheel and does it cost me anything?
After a member completes their Moment and leaves a review, they spin a prize wheel. Most prizes are Perkie Points (Perkie covers these). One prize slot is a "Business Freebie" — you set the description when you create the Moment template (e.g. "Free dessert on your next visit"). That freebie is on you if won, so keep it something you're happy to honour.
What is a return offer?
A return offer is an incentive you set on a Moment template — for example, spend $80+ and get 20% off your next visit. If a member's bill hits the threshold during their Moment, Perkie automatically creates a return offer in their account. It shows up when the venue scans their QR on their next visit, ready to redeem. It's a simple way to bring people back without any manual tracking.
Can I see how my Moments are performing?
Yes. The Reports section under Perkie Moments in your menu shows booking counts, completions, no-shows, cancellations, total spend, and return offer redemptions for any date range you select.
How do members pay and what does the booking fee cover?
Members pay a small booking fee (from $4) via Stripe at the time of booking, plus 500 Perkie Points from their balance. The fee confirms their intent to show up. You don't receive the booking fee — it covers Perkie's platform costs. Your revenue comes from the discounted spend the member makes at your venue during the Moment.
What if I get a low review rating?
If a member gives an overall rating of 1 or 2 stars, Perkie notifies you by email with any private feedback they chose to leave. This is not published anywhere. You can respond to the member through the Perkie messaging thread on that booking, and the member can mark the issue as resolved when they're satisfied. The goal is a genuine resolution, not public complaints.
What happens if a member no-shows?
The booking is automatically marked as a no-show after the slot time passes without a check-in. The member forfeits their booking fee and points. The slot is recorded in your reports so you can track no-show rates over time.
