Perkie

How Perkie works

Supporting local has perks.

Find somewhere good. See what's Perkie there. Get something back. Membership is free.

A normal Perkie visit

This is the usual loop. The extras sit around it, they are not seven different apps.

  1. Step 1

    Discover somewhere good

    Browse local businesses on Perkie.

  2. Step 2

    See what's Perkie there

Offers, Tracks, Spend, or Moments, if that business has them.

  3. Step 3

    Use your Perkie Card

Show it at participating businesses when they need to scan you.

  4. Step 4

    Earn or enjoy the benefit

A perk, points, Track progress, or a booked Moment.

  5. Step 5

    Come back

Find the next place. Tracks and points reward coming back.

One Perkie. Lots of ways to feel good.

These are parts of the same membership, not a pile of separate products.

Offers / perks

Something special, when a business has one

Businesses can give Perkie members offers. You find them in Discover, then use them through Perkie when you visit.

Not every business has an offer. An offer is not always on. If you see one you like, use it while it's there.

Member perk

The business sets the deal. Perkie is how you find it and redeem it. No need to memorise a stack of paper coupons.

Perkie Points

Points you can actually use

Perkie Points are Perkie's member points. You see your balance in your account, including on your Perkie Card.

Common ways to earn: Perkie Spend after a receipt is reviewed, a participating business scanning your Perkie Card, and being active on Perkie. There is no single earn rate for every visit.

Today you can use points to enter competitions and to book Perkie Moments. They are not cash, and you cannot transfer them to someone else.

Perkie Spend

Get points for eligible NZ spend

Upload an eligible receipt from a NZ business and earn Perkie Points for your spend.

Perkie reviews the receipt, including with PerkieAI. If it is eligible, the baseline is 1 Perkie Point per $1 of eligible spend. Some businesses give a higher rate. There is an optional Spend code if a business has one.

This is not scanning your Perkie Card at the till. Approval is not instant, and not every receipt is accepted.

The idea is simple: members get rewarded for supporting businesses, and those receipts also help Perkie see which NZ businesses members already back.

2

Perkie reviews it

PerkieAI plus a human check when needed.

3

Eligible spend becomes points

1 point per $1 at the baseline, more if that business offers it.

Perkie Tracks

Come back, get the reward

Perkie Tracks is a digital loyalty card. A business creates a Track. You make progress through the visits or actions that Track asks for. When you hit the number they set, you get that Track's reward.

Stamp counts, rewards, and timing are set by the business. There is no universal number, and Tracks are not wired into every till.

Example Track progress

4 of 5 visits

An example only. Real Tracks set their own length and reward.

A quieter table booked as a Perkie Moment

Perkie Moments

Book quieter times. Get a better deal.

Restaurants, salons, services, and other businesses can open quieter slots as Moments. You book the time, show up, and get the member deal for that booking.

Booking uses Perkie Points plus a small booking fee. The listing shows what applies before you confirm.

Perkie Card

Your member card, in your phone

The Perkie Card is your membership. It shows your points and a member QR plus a backup code. Participating businesses scan that when they need to record a visit: an offer, points, or a Track hop.

That member code is not the same as the QR used to open a specific offer. Two different things, easy to mix up.

Competitions

The odd chance to win

When a competition is open, you can enter from your account. Plenty of them use Perkie Points. You can also browse live competitions and recent winners.
